Here are some of the documents and information that you will be given when you place your deposit or when you pickup your new Lone Star Coton de Tulear.
Dear Buyer,
I pride myself in providing my customers with happy, healthy dogs. I take care to ensure you are getting a good quality pup that has been handled with nothing but love. My intention as a breeder is to give every one of my puppies a fantastic and loving forever home. I never want any of my dogs to be mistreated or end up in a shelter. My puppies are bred with intention and a lot of love. I take pride in having all AKC registered breeding stock, ensuring that my dogs have healthy bloodlines with great pedigrees.
Cotons have a life expectancy of 14-16 years and require lots of love, attention, and consistency. It is imperative that your puppy is properly trained and cared for. I am in no way responsible for the temperament of your puppy. Every puppy that comes from my home will be well socialized and loved from birth until they are placed in their new homes.
The puppy is never to be placed in a shelter, given away, or sold. If for any reason you cannot keep the puppy you must return it to me so that I can rehome it. It is your responsibility to notify me immediately if you are unable to keep the puppy for any reason, no matter how long you have owned the dog. At which time it is up to my discretion to choose whether a refund is in order. You agree to sign the necessary papers to return sole ownership of the dog to me in the event the dog is returned.
You understand that you are welcome to make an appointment to come to my home to meet my dogs, puppies, and see my facilities before you purchase your puppy.
As the buyer, you understand that you are responsible for providing your puppy with adequate, loving care.
You understand that it is your responsibility to cover all fees incurred by this dog after you have taken it home.
You also understand that it is required and is your responsibility to spay/neuter your puppy by 13 months of age.
You understand that you are required to pick up your puppy by 8 weeks old. There will be a boarding fee for puppies that need to stay with me longer than the 8 weeks.
You are responsible for all training and costs of training your puppy.
You are prepared to love and care for this puppy for the duration of its life.
You agree not sell, breed, or place the puppy in a shelter!
You agree to notify me immediately if you are unable to keep the puppy.

We guarantee your puppy to be healthy at the time of purchase. Vaccinations and wormings are current and listed on your puppy’s shot record. We give you 72 hours (or 3 business days) after you receive your puppy to take it to a licensed veterinarian to be checked out. We also give a one-year health guarantee against any INHERITABLE disease. If this should occur, we will replace your puppy with one of the same sex and value.
If your vet finds any health problems with your puppy during this period of guarantee, notify us at once. You, as the buyer, are responsible for all vet costs after the time of purchase.
I will extend this health guarantee to the pup’s second birthday if you keep your puppy on NuVet Plus during those two years.
Only guarantees stated in this written agreement are in effect from the date of purchase. This contract is no longer valid if the buyer does not comply with the above terms.
